An Eye for Design

Helen Gabrielsen, a Design and Production student at Oslo Metropolitan University (OsloMet) was selected to show her design at the Hempel Award China International Young Fashion Designers contest in 2018. About 1500 students from all over the world sent in their design drawings and 25 students went to the final. Helene used materials from nature to explore important environmental theses in her outfits such as plastic pollution, oil spills and overfishing. I followed Helen as she planned and sewed the outfits for the competition.
